William Alvin Senter 
William Alvin was born on March 10th, 1878 in Alvarado, Johnson Co., Texas.1 William Alvin's father was William Conway Senter and his mother was Elizabeth Comelia Kelley. His paternal grandparents were James C. Senter and Frances Jackson. He had six brothers and four sisters, named C. C., James Conway, John Pinkney, Thomas Smyth, Henry Partain, Edgar Russell, Frankie Jane, Jeffie May, Rosalie and Dora. He was the fourth oldest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 81 on July 29th, 1959. He was buried in Castro Memorial Garden Cem., Dimmitt, Castro Co., Texas.1 1 General Notes

9. He ta ught school for a number of years, teaching at Greenfield, sou
th of Alvara do in about 1920-21. At some unknown point in time, Uncle Wi
ll and Aunt A ddie moved to far West Texas where they were engaged in farm
ing for many y ears.
