Elma was born on February 18th, 1883 in ,Auburn, Logan Co., Kentucky.1 Elma's father was Lafayette T. (Fate) Price and his mother was Martha Jane Basham. His maternal grandparents were Henry Basham and Martha Ann Warren. He had four brothers and eight sisters, named Sidney H., Sherman, Emette Harrison, Woodrow (Woody), Mattie, Mary Myrtle, Dora, Lucy, Isabelle (Belle), Lillian G., Barbara and Virgie M.. He was the fourth oldest of the thirteen children. He died at the age of 81 on January 25th, 1965. He was buried in Rochester Cem., Rochester, Illinois.1 1 General Notes
