Alma Knott 
Alma was born on April 29th, 1895 in Davis Co., Kentucky.1 Alma's father was Frederick Martin Knott and her mother was Sarah Jane (Jennie) Payne. Her paternal grandparents were Raphael (Ralph) Knott and Abigail Basham; her maternal grandparents are William Henry Payne and Mary Ann Mattingly. She had four brothers and four sisters, named Hilary O., William Henry, James M., Proctor Paul, Ellen McDellan, Ethel McDellan, Margaret and Mary Ethyl. She is the second youngest of the nine children.-
