John Thomas Keahey 
John Thomas was born in 1849 in Mississippi.1 John Thomas' father was John Robert Jackson Keahey and his mother was Martha Slay. His paternal grandparents were George Jackson Keahey and Margaret Keahey; his maternal grandparents were John Slay and Elizabeth Sumerall. He had six brothers and four sisters, named William, George Jefferson, Alvia Wiggin, James A., Joseph Henry, Benjamin Franklin, Margaret, Amanda Jane, Frances Indiana and Martha. He died at the age of 56 on October 9th, 1905 in Rockwall, Texas.1 General Notes
