John Jesse Keahey 
John Jesse was born in 1869.1 John Jesse's father was Elijah John,Jr. Keahey and his mother was Margaret Ophelia Hamilton. His paternal grandfather was Elijah John Keahey and his paternal grandmother is Catherine Bethune. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Daniel Reed, James Russell, Henry Alexander, Hardy L., Frank E., Belzora and Sarah J.. He was the third oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 61 on March 20th, 1930.1 General Notes
