George Reed Keahey 
George Reed was born on September 30th, 1866 in Erath, Texas.1 George Reed's father was Archibald Smith Keahey and his mother was Martha Elizabeth Robertson. His paternal grandfather was James,Jr. Keahey and his paternal grandmother is Lydia Autry. He had five brothers and six sisters, named James Thomas, John Wesley, Benjamin Franklin, William Henry, Joseph Monroe, Emaline Martha, Ann Margaret, Theodocia, Mary Adeline, Ella Malinda and Myrtie Irene. He was the oldest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 75 on February 12th, 1942 in Canadian, Texas. He was buried in Washita Cemetery, South of Canadian, Himphill Co., Texas.1 1 General Notes
