Josephine Irene was born on September 15th, 1901 in Eric, Oklahoma.1 Josephine Irene's father was William Riley Jones and her mother was Rebecca Heatley. Her paternal grandparents were Andrew Jackson Jones and Elizabeth Adelia Swan. She had five brothers and four sisters, named Oran Dan, Elmer George, Emmitt Hartford, Andrew Jackson, Victor Roland, Willie Ruth, Muriel Lee, Meda Mae and Vallie Christine. She was the fourth oldest of the ten children. She died at the age of 86 on October 27th, 1987 in Shackelford Co., Texas. She was buried in Albany Cem. in Albany, Shackelford, Texas.1 1 General Notes
