Sallie Frances (Fanny) was born on January 30th, 1862 in Upshur Co., Texas.1 Sallie Frances (Fanny)'s father was William Arnold Hightower and her mother was Sarah Aletha Potilla. Her paternal grandparents were Elisha Hightower and Mary Eugenia Oslin; her maternal grandparents were John Potilla and Mary (Polly) Winfield. She had five brothers and two sisters, named John Thomas, James Payne, William Franklin, Joseph Elisha, Nathan Edwin, Martha Elizabeth (Mattie) and Mary Aramanda (Mack). She was the fourth youngest of the eight children. She died at the age of 75 on August 20th, 1937 in Alvarado, Johnson Co., Texas.1 -
