Susannah was born on December 18th, 1725 in Richmond Co., Virginia.1 Susannah's father was William, Jr. Hanks and her mother was Hester Mills. Her paternal grandfather was William Hanks and her paternal grandmother is Sarah Woodbridge; her maternal grandparents are John Mills and Hester White. She was an only child.
