Thomas Redus was born on September 14th, 1865.1 Thomas Redus' father was John Pitt Grigsby and his mother was Octavia Clay Redus. His paternal grandparents were James Grigsby and Margaret Martindale. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Jamnes Pitt, Eddie, John Bein, Harry Clay, Ophelia, Marie L. and Elizabeth Gay. He was the fourth oldest of the eight children.
