John Pitt Grigsby 
John Pitt was born in 1835 in Alabama.1 John Pitt's father was James Grigsby and his mother was Margaret Martindale. His paternal grandparents were John,4th Grigsby and Sarah Winifred Watson. He had a brother and two sisters, named William Currin, Sarah Elizabeth and Margaret. He was the second oldest of the four children. He died at the age of 39 on March 22nd, 1874.1 General Notes
