George William was born on April 20th, 1851 in Brunswick County, NC.1 George William's father was William Reuben Gause and his mother is Rebecca Ann Cason. His paternal grandparents are Joseph W. Gause and Mary Ann Grissett. He had eight brothers and two sisters, named Joseph Duvall, Van Boklin, Marshall Bell, Charles Albany, Thomas Olen, Frank Jefferson, Robert Edwin, Samuel Fletcher, Lettie Olimthus and Mary Eliza. He died at the age of 65 on February 22nd, 1917 in Florida.1 -
