Obadiah Benjamin "Obie" was born on August 29th, 1851 in Pike County, Georgia.1 Obadiah Benjamin "Obie"'s father was Robert Beall I Gardner. His paternal grandparents were John Gardner and Emeline "Emily" Beall. He had six brothers and two sisters, named John Hightower, James Wood, Judge Brantley, Robert Beall II, Sterling Pryor, William Flournoy, Charlotte Emily Eugenia and Mary Lou. He was the second oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 71 on January 19th, 1923 in Baldwyn, Prentiss County, Mississippi.1 -
