Robert Clayton was born on July 18th, 1864.1 Robert Clayton's father was Robert Quincy Davidson and his mother is Jennie Elizabeth Brown. His paternal grandparents were Joseph Davidson and Emma Selina Hart. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Joseph, John, Columbia Ann and Jane Elizabeth (Bess).
