Jeremiah Cleveland 
Jeremiah was born before 1719.1 Jeremiah's father was Alexander, Jr. Cleveland and his mother was Alexander's Wife Unknown. His paternal grandparents are Alexander, Sr. Cleveland and Alexander Sr's Wife Unknown. He had four brothers and a sister, named Alexander, John, Micajah, William and Elizabeth.General Notes

Jeremiah CLEVELAND lived with his parents on Bull Run. It is not kno
wn wh ether he removed with them to Blue Run, Va. His son Jacob came fr
om Culpe per Co., Va. to S.C. but none of Jacob's brothers and sisters [a
ny of who se names we have been unable to learn] left Va. with him. Pet
er Clevela nd remembers, 1886 that Jacob had brothers (but has not their n
ames), a nd that his great-grandfather (who, it is thought, came from Engl
and) w as named either Jeremiah or John, is not positive which. But the n
ame cou ld not have been John, for Gen. Benjamin Cleveland stated th
at he was seco nd cousin [probably meaning that his father, John, was seco

Jeremiah and Wife were married in a religious ceremony before 1739.1 They had two sons named Jacob, Sr. and Reuben.

Jacob, Sr. was born on May 6th, 1739 in Culpeper Co., Virginia.1 He died at the age of 50 on June 13th, 1789 in Elberton, Elbert Co., Georgia.1
