Redford Columbus was born on May 31st, 1871 in HALLS CHAPEL, WARREN COUNTY, KY.1 Redford Columbus' father was George Washington Cherry and his mother was Martha Frances Stahl. His paternal grandparents were William Cherry and Frances Taylor; his maternal grandparents were Isaac Stahl and Elizabeth Perkins. He had eight brothers named Jeremiah Taylor, Isaac Lafayette, John Wesley, Allen A, William Bailey, Thomas Crittendon, Henry Hardin and George Washington. He was the youngest of the nine children.1 -
