Joseph Taylor Cherry 
Joseph Taylor was born on September 5th, 1806 in EDGECOMBE, NC.1 Joseph Taylor's father was William Cherry and his mother was Frances Taylor. His paternal grandfather was William Cherry; his maternal grandparents were Joseph Taylor and Sarah Best. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Allen A, John, George Washington, Bailey Harrison, Frances, Mary Ann Eliza, Sarah, Charlotte and Lucinda Hurd. He was the oldest of the ten children. He had three half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Obadiah, Samuel, John, Frances, Jane, Lavina and Nancy. He died at the age of 54 on July 12th, 1861 in WARREN COUNTY, KY.1 General Notes
