Samuel Cherry 
Samuel was born in 1792 in EDGECOMBE, NC.1 Samuel's father was William Cherry and his mother was Lottie Hopkins. His paternal grandfather was William Cherry. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Obadiah, John, Frances, Jane, Lavina and Nancy. He was the fourth oldest of the seven children. He had five half-brothers and five half-sisters, named Joseph Taylor, Allen A, John, George Washington, Bailey Harrison, Frances, Mary Ann Eliza, Sarah, Charlotte and Lucinda Hurd. He died at the age of 23 on February 2nd, 1815 in WARREN COUNTY, KY.1 General Notes
