James William Chapman 
James William was born on March 27th, 1839.1 James William's father was Kimbrough Ogilvie Chapman and his mother was Sophrona 'Sophia' Davidson. His maternal grandparents were Thomas B. Davidson and Sara Leeper Miller. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Thomas Monroe, Napolean Jasper, Carroll Swanson, Sarah Tennessee, Malinda Eleanor and Nancy Owen. He was the second oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 79 on August 8th, 1918.1 General Notes
