William Alexander Bassham 
William Alexander was born on December 3rd, 1878 in Crittenden Co., Kentucky.1 William Alexander's father was Martin L. Bassham and his mother was Alice Louisa Horton. His paternal grandparents were Reuben Bassham and Rebecca Unknown. He had a brother and six sisters, named Thomas R., Sarah Adaline, Julia Elizabeth, Mary J., Child, Ada and Rosa L.. He was the fourth youngest of the eight children. He died at the age of 61 on September 28th, 1940 in Smithland, Livingston Co., Ky.1 General Notes
