Pleasant Basham 
Pleasant was born about 1810 in Franklin Co., Virginia.1 Pleasant's father was William Loyd Basham and his mother was Ama Meador. His paternal grandparents were John, Sr. Basham and Francis Susanna Unknown; his maternal grandparents were Jessee Meador and Lucy (Nancy?) Hix. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Lloyd, Meador, John, David, Rebecca, Rhoda, Margaret and Mary (Polly). He was the fourth oldest of the nine children. He died on February 3rd, 1888 in Kanawha Co., West Virginia.1 General Notes
