Mary Jane (Polly) Basham 
Mary Jane (Polly) was born on May 23rd, 1823 in Virginia.1 Mary Jane (Polly)'s father was Jonathan Basham and her mother was Delilah Payne. Her paternal grandparents were John, Sr. Basham and Francis Susanna Unknown; her maternal grandfather was James Payne and her maternal grandmother is Ruth Unknown. She had five brothers and two sisters, named Mahlon, Oliver, Joseph P., Reece Calvin, James Oliver, Sr., Delilah Louise and Elizabeth Ellen. She was the third oldest of the eight children. She died at the age of 77 on January 5th, 1901 in Clarksville, Johnson Co., Arkansas.1 General Notes
