Mary Beatrice was born about 1919 in Proctor, Adair Co., Oklahoma.1 Mary Beatrice's father was Lindsey William (Shorty) Basham and her mother was Fanny Belle Warren. Her paternal grandparents were Henry William Basham and Elizabeth Nancy Greer. She had two brothers and four sisters, named Lottie Ethel, Willis William, Veda Mae, Nettie Emma, Maggie Fay and Fairy Elizabeth. She is the second youngest of the seven children.General Notes
