Lavina Murl was born on October 19th, 1891 in Blue Spring, Jackson Co., Missouri.1 Lavina Murl's father was James Edward Basham and her mother was Julia Isabelle Steele. Her paternal grandparents were Benjamin Basham and Elizabeth Ellis. She had five brothers named Arthur Samuel, Benjamin Walter, David Ellis, Pearl and Jessie Oleta. She was the third youngest of the six children. She died at the age of 81 on April 4th, 1973 in St Louis, St Louis Co., Missouri.1 General Notes
