James Taylor Basham 
James Taylor was born on March 16th, 1872 in Barren Co., Kentucky.1 James Taylor's father was William Henry Basham and his mother was Fanniel J. Davidson. His paternal grandparents were Nathan Basham and Mahala Preston. He had a brother named William N.. He was the older of the two children. He had four half-brothers and a half-sister, named Curtis M., Catlet (Cat), Leslie, Warner and Lula. He died at the age of 82 on December 8th, 1954 in Memphis, Shelby Co., Tennessee.1 General Notes
