Freddie Norman (Bartley) was born on October 10th, 1913 in Brownsville, Edmonson Co., Ky.1 Freddie Norman (Bartley)'s father was Reuben 'Alfred' Basham and his mother was Martha Elender (Mattie) Self. His paternal grandparents were Reuben Bartlett (Bartley) Basham and July Ann Johnson; his maternal grandparents were Greenberry Self and Elizabeth Lee Bostick. He had seven brothers and two sisters, named Alex 'Clifford', Everett Commadore Tilford, Homer Albert (Tuck), John Thomas, Living, Living, Living, Allbennie Florence and Isthmie Mae. He had three half-brothers and a half-sister, named Guy Ulysses (Lissies), Wiley, Reubin Kelley and Julia Ann. He died at the age of 90 on April 3rd, 2004.1 General Notes
