Don Wilson (Rev) was born on September 17th, 1926 in Wichita Falls, Wilbarger Co., Tex.1 Don Wilson (Rev)'s father was Henry Joseph (Hal) Basham and his mother was Eileen Hicks. His paternal grandparents were Henry Jonathan Basham and Mary Jane Johnston. He had two brothers named Living and Living. Don W Basham was born and reared in Wichita Falls, Texas. He hol
ds a BA a nd BD degrees from Phillips University and its Graduate Semina
ry in Eni d, Oklahoma. He was ordained to the ministry in 1955 and serv
ed Christi an Church (Disciples of Christ) pastorates in Washington D C; T
oronto, Can ada; and Sharon, Pennsylvania. He left the pastorate in 19
67 to begin a f ull-time, interdenominational writing and teaching ministr
y. Today, Don Ba sham is one of the recognized leaders in the Charismat
ic renewal. He trav els widely and is a frequent speaker in church conven
tions and conferenc es in this country as well as overseas.
A former editor of "New Wine" magazine, he is the author of fifteen bo
ok s. Best known for his best-selling "Face Up With A Miracle", and "Del
iv er Us From Evil", his most recently published works include a penetra
ti ng indictment of immorality in the ministry titled "Lead Us Not Into Te
mpt ation", and "The Way I See It", a collection of reflective essays on C
hris tian living. He also publishes a monthly Christian newsletter entitl
ed "D on Basham's Insights". Don and his wife Alice, have 5 children a
nd 14 gran dchildren. They currently make their home in Elyria, Ohio. D
