Mary Alma Barr 
Mary Alma was born on January 11th, 1911 in Browns Valley, Kentucky.1 Mary Alma's father was George Roland, Jr. Barr and her mother was Ellen McDellan Knott. Her paternal grandparents are George Roland, Sr. Barr and Martha Hayden; her maternal grandparents were Frederick Martin Knott and Sarah Jane (Jennie) Payne. She had seven brothers and five sisters, named Joseph Martin Barr, William Garrett, Sr., George Roland III, Martin Raphael, Robert Aloysius, Charles Hilary, Denis Anthony, Genevieve, Martha Imogene, Mary Ethel, Virginia "Jennie Mae" Mary and Theresa Margaret. She was the fifth youngest of the thirteen children. She died at the age of 68 on November 23rd, 1979 in Owensboro, Daviess Co., Kentucky. She was buried in St. Peter's Catholic Cem., Stanley, Kentucky.1 1 General Notes
