Lyda R. Allen 
Lyda R. was born about 1916 in Texas.1 Lyda R.'s father is David Collins Allen and her mother was Ruth Amazon Bassham. Her maternal grandparents were Joseph P. Basham and Mary Jane Morris. She had a brother and four sisters, named David Collins, Jr., Thelma Allen, Wynette, Jolda and Maydelle. She is the second youngest of the six children.-
