Maria was born in 1837. Maria's father was Jacob Overturf and her mother was Anna UNKNOWN. Her paternal grandparents were Martin Overturf and Catherine Deitch. She has three brothers named Elizer Lency, Joseph and William. She had three half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Henry, Samuel, Martin, Catherine, Nancy, Rebecca and Ruth.-
