Catherine was born on February 19th, 1825. Catherine's father was Jacob Overturf and her mother was Rebecca Myers. Her paternal grandparents were Martin Overturf and Catherine Deitch. She had three brothers and three sisters, named Henry, Samuel, Martin, Nancy, Rebecca and Ruth. She had three half-brothers and a half-sister, named Elizer Lency, Joseph, William and Maria.-
