Edith Eleanor was born in 1914. Edith Eleanor's father was John Auburn Overturf and her mother is Mary Alice McLaughlin. Her paternal grandparents were George Freeman Overturf and Elenora Raines; her maternal grandparents were William McLaughlin and Clara Jeannette Wilson. She has two brothers and a sister, named Lawrence Eugene, Clarence and Ruth Jeannette. She is the second oldest of the four children.-
