Bish op of B ath and Wel lscertain messua ge s, cella rs, shops, &c ., in
Bristol, als o a m e ssuage, & c. , in Easton, Somerse t, in exchange fo r
the
manor of Littl e Riss ington, Gloucester, for their liv es; and he was
or d er ed to muster at Rhud dla n, 2 A ugust 1282, as a knight fo r th e
sai d
Bi shop.
He married Jo an, apparen tlydaughter and (or in her i ssu e ) hei r of
Samson FOLIOT (living 30 May 128 1 ),of Fritwell , &c., Oxon., Har dwell,
Berk s, and C hilton Folia t a nd Dra yc ot Foliat, Wilts. He died,
probabl
y
in Wale s, shortly befor e 22 N ovemb er 1282. Joan, who was living in May
