Stephen Skaggs 
Stephen was born about 1764 in , , Virginia, USA.1 Stephen's father was James Skaggs and his mother is Nancy. His paternal grandfather was James Skaggs and his paternal grandmother is Mary Thompson. He had six brothers and five sisters, named William, John, Henry, Matthew, James, Moses, Nancy, Lydia, Sally, Mary and Lettice. He died on December 14th, 1814 in , Hardin County, Kentucky, USA.2 General Notes
Aug. 1828 - Stephen SKAGGS that died intestate in January 1814, his widow and new husband Richard DAVID wre taken in to court to divide Stephens estate. The suit brought on by John STINNETT and Polly his wife, William SALTZMAN and wife Sally, James SKAGGS, Henry SKAGGS, Stephen SKAGGS and Elizabeth SKAGGS, the last two being under 21 years of age, sons and daughters of Stephen SKAGGS dec'd. The decedant left an unincumbed estate of about 150 acres of land more or less on Brush Creek being the upper part of the tract of his father James SKAGGS dec'd.
