Oldest Veteran to be honored by Erlanger
Henry SCHNEIDER, Kentucky's oldest veteran, will be honored Sunday in a ceremony by the city of Erlanger.
SCHNEIDER, 98, of Erlanger, was 23 when he went into the Army in 1917. He was a private in the Army's 48th Infantry Division. His troop was scheduled to relieve the battered Ninth Infantry Division during World War I when the armistice was signed.
The recognition ceremony will be at 5 p.m. at Lloyd Memorial High School.
