Regina was born about 1920 in , Scioto, Ohio, USA.1 Regina's father was Philip SCHWAMBERGER and her mother was Agnes CROUSE. Her paternal grandparents were John SCHWAMBERGER and Philimena HERBST; her maternal grandparents were Henry CROUSE and Mary WEINCHECK. She had two brothers and three sisters, named Wilson, Ralph, Lucille, Mary Evelyn and Helen Darlene. She was the second youngest of the six children.
