PETRY

      Raymond C. "Pete" PETRY, 72, of Portsmouth, died Monday in Columbus.
      A native of Portsmouth, he was retired from the former Williams Mfg. Co., a World War II Army veteran, and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, where he served as an usher.
      Surviving are his wife, Dorothy L. McGUIRE PETRY;  three sons, John PETRY, the Rev. Thomas PETRY, and Joe PETRY, all of Columbus;  three daughters, Ann PASS of Columbus, Janet PETRY and Marilyn Sue Wikoff, both of Reynoldsburg;  a brother, Albert PETRY of Portsmouth;  a sister, Alma DUPLAIN of Portsmouth;  eight grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces.
      Service is 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the church, with the Rev. William MAROON and the Rev. Thomas PETRY officiating, and interment in Greenlawn Cemetery.
      Friends may call at Melcher Funeral Home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, where recitation of rasary is planned at 8:30.
      The family's favorite charity is Colerain Wheelchair Fund, 499 East Weisheimer Road, Columbus, Ohio 43214.
