Henry MAIER
Henry William MAIER, 79, of Portsmouth, died Saturday afternoon, Jan. 25, 1992, at Southern Ohio Medical Center Scioto Campus.
Born Aug. 12, 1912, in Portsmouth, a son of the late William Victor and Margaret Louise LAUBLY MAIER, he was a retired U. S. postal employee and served in the Army during World War II. He was a 1930 graduate of Portsmouth High School and a member of Central Presbyterian Church, Portsmouth Lodge of Elks, James Dickey Post American Legion and Senior Citizens Club. He had attended Ohio State University.
Survivors include his wife, Kathleen BROWN SHOPE MAIER; a stepson, James M. SHOPE of Freindship; two stepgrandsons, Shane Clay SHOPE of Urbana and Brandon William SHOPE of Columbus.
He also was preceded in death by a brother, Ray MAIER.
Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Daehler Funeral Home in Portsmouth.
