William CALDWELL 
William was born in May 1758. William's father was William CALDWELL and his mother was Isabella CLARKE. His paternal grandfather was David CALDWELL; his maternal grandfather was Abraham CLARKE. He had four brothers and five sisters, named James, David, Alexander, Clerke, Isabella, Margaret, Nancy Amelia, Anne and Mary. He was the third oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 58 on July 2nd, 1816 in Cape Town, South Africa.
‌William and Catherina Hendrika were married in a religious ceremony on February 14th, 1796 in Cape Town, South Africa. They had a son and six daughters, named William Bletterman, Gertrude Isabella, Johanna Maria, Catharina Margareta, Caroline Jermima, Maria Hendrika and Georgina Johanna.

Johanna Maria was born on July 26th, 1800 and her baptism took place on September 23rd, 1800.
Catharina Margareta CALDWELL
Catharina Margareta was born on February 28th, 1802. She died at 11 months old on February 8th, 1803.
Caroline Jermima CALDWELL
Caroline Jermima was born on July 22nd, 1803 and her baptism took place on August 21st, 1803. She died at the age of 57 on July 18th, 1861 in St. Leonards, Sussex, England.
Maria Hendrika CALDWELL
Maria Hendrika was born on July 27th, 1804. She died at the age of 35 on May 11th, 1840.
