Jared was born on June 26th, 1793 in SUMTER DISTRICT, SOUTH CAROLINA. Jared's father was George LAWS and his mother was Ann LORD. His paternal grandparents were William LAWS and Mme Jane LAWS; his maternal grandfather was M. LORD. He had nine brothers and a sister, named William, Isham, James A, Isaiah Thomas, George, Henry, Robert, John, David and Nancy. He was the fifth youngest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 60 in 1853 in ELLIOTT, LEE CO., SOUTH CAROLINA. He was buried in 1853 in SAINT LUKE CEMETERY, SOUTH CAROLINA.General Notes
