His paternal grandparents were William LAWS and Mme Jane LAWS; his maternal grandfather was M. LORD. He had nine brothers and a sister, named William, Isham, James A, George, Henry, Jared, Robert, John, David and Nancy. He was the fourth oldest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 56 on October 18th, 1840 in MACON CO., GEORGIA. He was buried in October 1840 in OLD LANIER CEMET, MACON CO., GEORGIA.General Notes
