Emma Irene Yelverton 
Emma Irene was born in July 1867 in Wayne County, Eureka, North Carolina. Emma Irene's father was Robert Sauls Yelverton and her mother was Sarah Minerva Bouge. She was an only child. She died at the age of 64 in July 1931 in Robeson County, St Pauls, North Carolina.
Emma Irene and John Jackson were married in a religious ceremony in April 1884 in Wayne County, North Carolina. They had six sons and a daughter, named Junius Addison, Robert Horace, John Jackson , Jr., Henry Salus, Marcus Hall, Ralph Jerry and Doris Irene.
