John Jackson Coley 
John Jackson was born in January 1863 in Wayne County, Eureka, North Carolina. John Jackson's father was Jackson Addison Coley. His paternal grandfather was Reading Coley. He was an only child. He died at the age of 61 in July 1924 in Wayne County, Fremont, North Carolina.
John Jackson and Emma Irene were married in a religious ceremony in April 1884 in Wayne County, North Carolina. They had six sons and a daughter, named Junius Addison, Robert Horace, John Jackson , Jr., Henry Salus, Marcus Hall, Ralph Jerry and Doris Irene.
