Jan Albertse was born in 1692 in Hackensack, Bergen, NJ. Jan Albertse's father was Albert Van Voorhees and his mother was Magdaleena (Helena) Van Der Schure. His paternal grandparents were Steven Coerte Van Voorhees and Willempie Roslofse Seubering; his maternal grandparents were Willem VAN DER SCHURE and Margrietje PLETTENBURG. He had seven brothers and four sisters, named Willem Albertse, Lucas, Jacobus Albertse, Albert Albertse, Petrus Albertse, Petrus, Isack Albertse, Margritie Albertse, Rachel Albertse, Femmetje Albertse and Willemtje. He had a half-brother named Stephen Albertese. He died at the age of 75 on September 27th, 1767.General Notes
