Thomas was born on September 20th, 1641 in Braintree, Bristol, Massachusetts. Thomas' father was John READ and his mother was Sarah LESSIE. His maternal grandparents were William LESSIE and Mrs. LESSIE. He had eleven brothers and three sisters, named Josiah, John, Josiah, Samuel, Ezekiel, Zachariah, Moses, Daniel, Daniel, Isreal, William, Abigail, Mary and Elizabeth. He died at the age of 53 on February 6th, 1695 in Rehoboth, Bristol, Massachusetts. He was buried in E. Providence, Providence, RI.General Notes
