John MATTOON

John was born on October 12th, 1682 in Deerfield, Franklin, MA.  John's mother was Sarah H. HAWKES.  His maternal grandmother was Elizabeth HAWKES. He had six brothers and four sisters, named Philip, Isaac, Eleazar, Gershom or Gerhon, Nathaniel, Ebenezer, Margaret, Sarah, Nathaniel and Mary.  He was the third oldest of the eleven children. He had a half-brother named Gerchon.  He died at the age of 71 on February 9th, 1754 in Wallingford, , CT.  He was buried in Congregational, Cheshire, CT.

‌John and Jerusha were married in a religious ceremony on October 20th, 1706 in Wallingford, New Haven, CT.
