Mary Jane was born in 1848 in , , Iowa. Mary Jane's father was William FLETCHER EWELL and her mother was Mary Lee BLAND. Her paternal grandparents were PLEASANT EWELL and Barbara FAUBER; her maternal grandparents were John BLAND and Sarah Lee. She had two brothers and two sisters, named John PLEASANT, William Thomas, Sarah Elizabeth and Barbara Ann. She was the youngest of the five children. She died at the age of 61 on March 3rd, 1909 in SANTAQUIN, , Utah.-
