John PLEASANT was born on August 2nd, 1837 in Livingston, Ray, MO.. John PLEASANT's father was William FLETCHER EWELL and his mother was Mary Lee BLAND. His paternal grandparents were PLEASANT EWELL and Barbara FAUBER; his maternal grandparents were John BLAND and Sarah Lee. He had a brother and three sisters, named William Thomas, Sarah Elizabeth, Barbara Ann and Mary Jane. He was the oldest of the five children. He died at the age of 66 on January 1st, 1904.-
