Adam Radcliffe 
Adam was born about 1302. Adam's father was William "the Great" de Radclyffe and his mother was Margaret de Culcheth. His paternal grandparents were Richard Radclyffe and Margaret le Boteler; his maternal grandfather was Gilbert de Culcheth. He had three brothers and five sisters, named Richard, William, John, Alice, Agnes, Elizabeth, Margaret and Maud. He was the second oldest of the nine children.-
