Squire Powell 
Squire was born on January 25th, 1798 in Burke County, North Carolina. Squire's father was Elias Burke Powell and his mother was Elizabeth Day. His paternal grandparents were Ambrose Powell and Margaret Holt; his maternal grandparents were Nicholas Day and Blair. He had five brothers and six sisters, named Rev. William Litle, Elias, John Wesley, Honour, Argin, Mary, Sarah, Elizabeth, Jane, Nancy and Celia. He was the third oldest of the twelve children. He died after 1850 in Williamson, Tennessee.-
